"Sarah and I are getting married...and we want you to be the ring bearer!" "Hooray!" David shouted. "I'm going to be the ring bearer!" "Uncle Andrew," David said, a little bit nervous, "I'm not sure I'm big enough to be a bear, but I'll try." Uncle Andrew explained. "Being a ring bearer means that you will be my special helper during our wedding ceremony. You will get to wear a grown-up suit and walk down the aisle holding our rings. It will be very exciting." I bought this for my 4 year old ring bearer and it's perfect. I believe it could really be used for any age. In the story, the boy's uncle asks him to be the ring bearer. They talk about what he'll wear, what he'll do, how to use his manners, etc. They talk about the importance of a ring bearer. In this story, a frog jumps in the church as the wedding begins and the boy is able to catch the frog and save the wedding.
I bought this book for my 2.5 year old in advance of my brother's wedding, in which my son was the ring bearer. My son loves books, but he had no interest in this at all. I think the illustrations were a little too soft and cutesy and the story was not particularly compelling. Or maybe he was just too young for it. (He will easily sit through "Corduroy" and Dr. Seuss books, though, so...I don't know...)
As Mother of the Groom I wanted to give my little nephew a special gift to commemorate the special day that he was my son's ringbearer..well I found the perfect book on Amazon..leading up to the day he kept asking me, Auntie what does a r ingbearer do? So this book was a true gift! Not only to him but to me..It came quickly to my door, and was professionally bound and written and I would like to give it 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Perfect for helping our ring bearer understand what a wedding is and what his role is. He was ready for rehearsal and for the big day.

Came fast and were so cute for my ring bearers!
Cute book! It is pretty substantial in terms of words, perfect for a 5 year old. Any younger and they may not have the patience to sit through it. It explains the things he may have to do before the wedding, things he needs during the wedding, like the pillow. In the end he saves the day by catching a frog and walks down the aisle.
