Definitely my favorite Trump WH book so far, and I’ve read the quite a few, including all of the ones that had big PR campaigns. It isn’t a “tell-all,â€It’s her story. Yet I got lots of new info and insight into behind the scenes as well. And her experiences and perspective are super interesting.She writes like a person, a friend, talking to you, like a real person not someone trying to be formal to fit someone else’s idea of what’s proper. Lots of !!! That may be part of what she meant when she thanked the editors for letter her do it her way. It’s really engaging and charming and the first behind the scenes book I’ve read that actually gives me tons of new info.
I’ve watched April Ryan on televised White House press briefings and as a journalist on news programs. I was eager to read what she had to say about the Trump White House. Under Fire: Reporting from the Front Lines of the Trump White House provided insight into her experiences with the Trump White House and the assortment of Press Secretaries who have battled with the press in Trump’s name. I’d seen many of the confrontations she had with Sean Spicer, Sarah Sanders, and even Trump.
